@hahadaxigua834 It's not a post about studying English... In short, my trick is to keep increasing the difficulty of the material you read. It requires little effort to reach a vocabulary of 15k once you immerse yourself in the language environment. After that, it helps make you sound more educated. You have to proactively read materials in fields such as psychology, politics as well as philosophy and history. Use them in offline meetups until you have a good command.

我的想法是：融入不是生活的选择，而是一种技能。学蒙古语有什么用？读加缪有什么用？研究球状闪电的成因有什么用？知道独角鲸的角有什么用？从传统文化的角度来看其实都没有什么用。这种对极致实用主义的追求本来就是中国文化中亦好亦坏的一部分。融入有用吗？不融入有坏处吗？其实都不那么重要。我自始至终都没有劝所有人都融入，这是个人选择。只不过想告诉想融入的人，这不是不可能的。
